You Shouldn’t Have To Worry About The Quality Of Your Herbal Formulas
There’s no shortage of things to worry about in our daily lives. But you shouldn’t have to worry about the quality of the herbal formulas you take or prescribe to your patients. There’s nothing more important to Health Concerns than ensuring we only use the best herbs. In fact, we have five checks in place to make sure we’re providing the best products on the market.
1. We start with the herbs themselves.
We take care to hand-select the finest herbs, wild-picked or organically grown whenever possible. We pay close attention to things like species, region of cultivation, time of harvest and the spirit in which the plants are grown and collected. We do not use herbs that are endangered, sprayed or fumigated.
2. Trained herbalists are brought in to evaluate.
Trained herbalists evaluate our herbs using smell, taste and appearance, just as has been done for thousands of years. To verify strength, efficacy, and to measure the amount of active components, the herbs are then analyzed. Samples are sent to independent labs to screen at a molecular level for pesticides, heavy metals, and bacterial contamination.
3. We process our herbs according to tradition.
Once the herbs have passed inspection, it is time to process them. We rely on traditional methods to maximize potency and eliminate undesired effects that may include steaming, baking, or soaking in alcohol. Everything from herb selection to weight are double-checked to ensure uniformity from batch to batch.
4. Attention to every detail.
We take special care in creating our formulas. Roots are cooked slowly over low temperatures. Flowers are prepared by infusion. Alkaloid-containing herbs are soaked in alcohol and have aromatic extracts added to them to preserve volatile components. Acacia gum and cellulose are used to bind the ingredients, while magnesium aids in the tableting process.
5. Creating the final product.
Once compressed into tablets, they’re coated to ease swallowing and to preserve freshness. We’re also sure to test disintegration to be certain the body can absorb the formula the way it is intended. Finally, inner and outer safety seals are applied, and lot numbers and manufacture dates are stamped on the bottle. A sample of every batch is sent to an outside lab to ensure accuracy, purity and potency.
This is our pledge to ensure that every bottle of Health Concerns formula contains the best herbs and the most effective formulas for you and your practice. We take pride in the quality of our products and it shows. Anything less is simply unacceptable.
